A Church of mercy         Comments welcome here

Pope Francis says we need be a Church of mercy and so we do, but more importantly we need to be a humble Church, a Church driven by Humility, as Gods Mercy received in humility guarantees spiritual growth, which wells up into eternal life.

Confession for Catholic’s of my generation was like taking a bath, it was natural, Trust was given unreservedly; sadly all priests are not Christian, as I can verify. The flock has been scattered Christian marriage has been trampled on, the wounded were left Shepherd less, as many were ensnared by the servants of the Evil One, as their need for a fully human sexual relationship has lead them away from the Church.

We need to be flexible the days of queuing for an hour, before two or three confessional boxes to have one’s confession heard, are long gone, we cannot afford to look back, God works in the present moment. The Sacrament of pence should not be just confined to a box nor Gods children; ways need to be found to encourage the Sacrament of pence that resonate within the hearts of mankind as he is to-day especially in the West.

Why do you think so many today will not commit to a Christian marriage?

Many have become cynical about a formalised commitment, as many of the young today see so much hypocrisy within institutions, which most definitely includes the Church, but still many will have had the seed of faith implanted within their hearts and it is waiting there to be encouraged to grow, what others have planted we must try to nurture, by whatever means possible.

For some, the reason could be the fear of damnation, as many especially the less well-off, poorly educated and unprivileged, who have seen so many marriages and committed relationships breaking down all around them. They are aware (For some this will be subliminal) that if they should commit to a Christian marriage and it should fail they will be left in a most difficult situation. As they contemplate this within their own hearts, many will be aware of their own need for a fully human sexual relationship and in been honest with themselves, they may be afraid that they will not be able to fulfil Church teaching and live the single life,  as Jesus says, on celibacy "Not everyone can receive this saying, but only those whom it is given" And if in separating/divorcing they then should make a civil commitment to another that leads to total separation from the Church and God, which then entails having to live without HOPE of reconciliation. It is fair to say some may conclude that it is preferable to live in a state of sin, were HOPE remains intact, and wait in the hope of making a true commitment to the faith, at some time in the future.

They have not become entangled with evil as they both still have Hope in the option to live a full Christian life, they do not look for God’s MERCY but act out of fear of a failure of a Christian marriage and its consequences. Fear is often the driving force behind their reluctance to marry and this is comparable with many whom in the Middle Ages avoided full Christian commitment by waiting to be baptized late in life or as near to death as possible and then receive Holy Communion to ensure salvation.

The Church must offer a way back to those who presently live without HOPE of reconciliation with God through his Holy Church on earth, not to do so goes’ against the Inviolate Word of God

"Anyone who comes to me I will not turn away"

The Divine Mercy revelations (See on this Site. Only God can Square the Circle; Saturday 21.02.15.) primary deal with forgiveness of very serious sin and the MIRACLE that comes from this revelation is the miracle of HOPE for our baptized brother and sisters who for whatever reason (Apart from the sin against the Holy Spirit) who presently live without HOPE of reconciliation with God through his Holy Church on earth. They can now be reconciled (if what I am saying is accepted by the Church) through acts of continual humility by venerating (Looking upon) the True Divine Mercy Image, a broken image, a reflection of themselves before God in the Eucharist, their sin has not been forgiven they are (remain) dependent on God’s Mercy. Each time they receive the bread of life they must look upon this broken image and in doing so they acknowledge their own brokenness, when saying these words from the heart, which have been given by God Himself to his Holy Church on earth. "Jesus, I Trust in Thee"

So now before the presence of God within the Eucharist, they too will not be turned away, from partaking of the bread of life and live.

Jesus says to his Shepherds through Peter

"Do you love me? Feed my sheep"

Anyone who sincerely looks for God’s mercy and eats of the bread of life, spiritual growth is ensured in these words

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eats of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world".

Then many who see this, who are afraid to commit to a Christian marriage may come forward and commit, in the knowledge that no matter how far they may fall, they can always rely upon a God of Mercy who will never turn anyone away, who approaches Him in true humility.

I have been asking the Church this question for over fifteen years without an answer and will continue to do so.

Is God’s Word Inviolate?

If your answer is yes, there can be only one Divine Mercy painting/drawing venerated in God’s House on earth, an image of brokenness a reflection of our selves before God.
