Summary of letter (provided by inmate):

I have highlighted the sufferings and hardships we Tanzanian prisoners are facing and have to endure here in Hong Kong jails, the main one being cut off from our beloved families. I have implored the Tanzanian public to be extremely vigilant and not be fooled by the Drug Kingpins who say that during holiday times in Hong Kong security might be lax. Records of arrests show that many Tanzanian couriers were arrested during holiday times like Chinese New Year. I have appealed to Mr Reginald Mengi the executive director of the I.P.P. Media Group (the largest media corporation in Tanzania) to kindly assist our campaign (the campaign of Tanzanian prisoners in HK jails) by spreading the news of our campaign to all the community by TV and local newspapers - telling the public in crystal clear language the consequences they face if they get caught trafficking narcotics in HK, Macau or China. I have also asked the local newspapers to keep on publishing our articles.
