The causes of war and discord:

- injustice, linked to excessive economic inequalities
- the desire to dominate
- a contempt for people
- envy, distrust and pride,

Many people have said how injustice is the breeding ground for terrorism

c.f. Bishop Pat Power's Easter plea for the Palestinian people

Jesus, you said that people who hunger and thirst for justice
will be satisfied. Please move the hearts of world leaders
to do more to help the Palestinian people....and thereby
make the world a safer place
