Jesus often spoke about "the kingdom of God",
a kingdom which grows like a tiny seed into a tree

Jesus established the Church
and empowered it with his Spirit
to proclaim and spread the kingdom of God

The Church is the servant and guardian of the kingdom of God.
The Church itself is the initial budding forth of that kingdom on earth

Jesus, help us more clearly understand
how your kingdom is not one of palaces and power,
but one of truth and love and justice and peace and compassion
