This article says that the renewal of the Church depends largely on its priests

A passing thought: in the See of Peter, what direction the boat sails doesn't depend on the sailors, but on the captain

If the captain doesn't believe in renewal...and even wants to see an unwinding of much of the past 50 years' renewal....and steers the boat back to where it was...how can the sailors make it go forwards?

Jesus, please help Pope Francis steer the Boat forwards under the sail of renewal  as outlined by Vatican II (after decades of an "unwinding" sail)
